Abigail Winter is an actress and writer, known for Mary Kills People (2017), Between (2015) and Unless (2016).
Abigail was born in Whistler BC and began acting at the age of six. After various theatre and film productions in Vancouver, Abigail landed the role of Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird at the Stratford Festival. She then spent six seasons as an actor at the Stratford Festival and feels grateful to have learned from such unique and gifted artists throughout the years. While at the Festival Abigail won the Mary Savidge Award recognizing her as most promising young artist. It was when Abigail was 16 that she discovered her passion for film and TV, which is the medium that she now works in. Additionally, Abigail is a screenwriter and director, driven by the desire to tell stories that are able to unify the flaws and beauty of the human experience. Abigail can also be found writing and recording original music, and has an EP coming out in the fall of 2017.
Outside of work, Abigail loves to cook, plan road trips, listen to podcasts and watch stand-up comedy. It is her dream to one day buy a cheap camper van and drive to all the best surfing beaches in North America.
