An East Coast surgeon, Mary Morstan is the ex-wife of John Watson. Despite their split, she continues her work at the Holmes Clinic as its medical director and the two maintain a healthy working relationship. She serves as Watson’s voice of reason and attempts to rein in his more irregular techniques.
