August Winter

Biography

August Winter is an actor and writer, known for Mary Kills People (2017), Between (2015) and Unless (2016).

Born in Whistler BC, August began acting at the age of six. After various theatre and film productions in Vancouver, they landed the role of Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird at the Stratford Festival. They then spent six seasons as an actor at the Stratford Festival. While at the Festival, August won the Mary Savidge Award recognizing them as a promising young artist. At 16 they discovered their passion for film and TV. Additionally, August is a screenwriter and director, driven by the desire to tell stories able to unify the flaws and beauty of the human experience. August can also be found writing and recording original music.

Outside of work, August loves to cook, plan road trips, listen to podcasts and watch stand-up comedy. It is their dream to one day buy a cheap camper van and drive to all the best surfing beaches in North America.
