Biography

The actor named “b” was born in Fresno CA and lives and works in NYC and LA. They are a Genderqueer artist born to a Mexican mother and a father who is Louisiana Creole. Most recently, they starred in the Second Stage Theater production of “Toros” (NY Times Critic’s Pick) for which they received a best actor HOLA Award in 2024. They also lead the New York Theatre Workshop production of “American (Tele)visions” for which The Wall Street Journal called b’s performance “Extraordinary: a commanding presence able to dart among the variegated styles with nimble ease.” On the screen, b can be seen in season 5 of YOU for Netflix, and as Loochie in AMC’s The Terror season 3. Additional credits include the Apple TV+ series WeCrashed, Let The Right One In for showtime and Station 19. b also recently starred in the Disney+ pilot Witch Mountain. They are a co-executive producer and lead actor on the Qcode fantasy podcast series Birds of Empire.
