Biography

Carra Patterson is a theater & film actress based in Harlem, New York. Carra made her theater debut alongside Cynthia Nixon in the 2012 Broadway production of WIT and originated the role of Rena in the Broadway premiere of the 2017 Tony Award Winning production of August Wilson’s Jitney. 

Patterson, who also played Tomica Woods in Straight Outta Compton, was a series regular in E’s The Arrangement and up next will star in the new series Turner & Hooch for Disney+. Carra’s additional notable credits include the HBO series Lovecraft Country and headlining the comedy pilot Patty’s Auto for Fox and Warner Bros.

Patterson is a graduate from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
