Lauren Orrell

Biography

Lauren is an actor with a passion for finding the ‘out-there’ roles, the characters that never quite feel like they belong anywhere, but that can be found everywhere in life.  She has won a number of awards, including Best Actress at the 2012 Los Angeles New Wave Film Festival for Brush, which also gained her a nomination for Best Actress at the Madrid International Film Festival.  She’s currently filming Conscious a suspense thriller feature in Queensland.  Following that, she takes on the lead in Harriet McKern’s debut feature, Insert Word in the middle of this year. When she’s not hustling for her latest role she’s slowly making her own irreverent brand of content. Writing scripts that explore the more surreal aspects of human neurosis.  In the future she hopes that using her work she can create greater visibility for women and people of all backgrounds.
