Diya was a great thief and wife of Rukhmini of India.
Rukhmini and Diya were partners in crime and life until Rukhmini disappeared for 30 years, due to her being stuck inside the Lost City. This made Diya upset but was unable to completely move on from Rukhmini and their precious moments.
At the end of Padma's wedding, when Diya's plan is finally revealed, Rukhmini and Diya quickly patch up and Rukhmini promises to be back. As Pangea is forming and the earth is shaking, Rukhmini expresses concern for Diya and wishes to go back to her. Once Pangea is formed, Rukhmini and Diya get married and both wear their thali, or marriage necklaces, as a symbol of their love.
Rukhmini has to leave Diya a second time to save the world from Alfie and Rukhmini and Diya shared a beautiful farewell and Diya thanks her for giving her such a beautiful last memory, to which Rukhmini remarks that she will be back, just like before.
