A U.S. Senator who engaged in an illicit affair with her intern Kristin Marley. Her husband, Elliot, found out about the affair and agreed to be accused of sleeping with Kristin to protect her. Melinda suspected Kristin of cheating on her and followed her; finding out that Kristin had slept with Melinda's father. Melinda confronted Kristin about the affair, and later killed Kristin with one of her stone bookends.
