Sam was backed into an alley by a mugger when Nightshade appeared, chasing the mugger off. They were, at first, scared by the newcomer, who grabbed them and whisked them into the air, eventually stopping on a rooftop. Nightshade was interested in the pronoun pin on their backpack, leading them to bond over their mutual non-binaryness, and Sam apologized for their earlier reaction to the Bot. The following morning, Sam was walking along when they spotted Stevie amending some anti-Transformer graffiti.
