Born Kenossium, The General took her rank as her name when she became the Time Lords' military commander.
She (finally) regenerated back to a woman after the twelve doctor shot her.
The General is a survivor of the last great Time War and witnessed the commotion caused by the Doctor stealing their first Tardis.
