Missy Doty

Biography

Missy Doty, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an American actress who plays the role of Vonetta on the HBO original series True Blood.

She grew up in Springdale, Ohio and graduated from Princeton High School in 1990. She also attended Stephens College where she received a BFA in Musical Theater.

Pursuing a career in acting throughout the 90s, Missy began playing several minor roles in a number of television programs, for example in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Ally McBeal.

Missy had a recurring role as Jess, a lesbian bartender at The Alibi on the Showtime show Shameless.
