Biography

Donna Wood originally hails from beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee where she was born and raised. Donna attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle where she graduated in 2011 with a BFA in Acting. Donna worked with many theaters around Seattle, most frequently with the Seattle Shakespeare Company (SSC) with credits including Audrey in As You Like It, Jacquenetta in Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Trinculo in The Tempest with SSC’s Wooden O Theatre Productions.

In 2014 Donna moved to New York, where she jumped into the improv and comedy scene. She has since then completed the Improv and Sketch Program at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB). Donna continues to act and write both on stage and on camera, performing all over the city in theater, improv, film and most recently appearing in a new series “Dinette” which premiered at the 2018 TriBeCa Series Showcase. Dinette was just renewed for a second season to be filmed this January. Catch up on season one and watch on BRIC TV.

When Donna isn’t writing/directing/acting, she enjoys afternoon naps whenever possible, cooking obscene amounts of food for her loving and hysterical friends, and spending time with her supportive family.
