Emily Coutts

Biography

A Canadian actress. She graduated from Toronto’s York University’s drama program, and is best known for playing Keyla Detmer, a bridge officer on the series Star Trek: Discovery, which is filmed in Toronto. Coutts has written and produced several small, independent films.

Playing Demter helped Coutts realize she was queer. She uses gay, queer, and bi interchangeably.
