Biography

L. Austen Johnson is an award-winning writer, designer, and disability advocate. She studied English, Archaeology, and Astronomy in university, which may explain her love for stargazing and time-traveling. She holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.

She’s an avid reader, a sometimes songwriter, and an attempter of various art projects. When she’s not working, you can find her searching for animals to pet, singing off-key in the shower, and learning the art of making the perfect cup of tea.

She is the author of the poetry collection Burning the Baconwhich won Bronze in the 2020 Readers’ Favorite Awards. Her other works include the Romancing the Holidays Series (including the #1 Bestselling story, “Lucky Fall”) and the short story “True Loaf.” Find out more about her books.
