Moyo Akandé

Biography

Moyo trained at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools in London. She has an extensive list of television credits in particular for the BBC.

Moyo has also worked in many theatre’s across Britain with Olivier and Tony award winning directors in companies including the Shakespeare’s Globe.

Moyo recently appeared in the smash hit primetime BBC television dramas, Guilt and The Cry and made her feature film debut in The Hurricane Heist. The Fast & The Furious director Rob Cohen was behind the camera for the action thriller.

Her BAFTAScotland and British Independent Film Award nominated short film, 1745, which she script developed and stars in the leading role, is currently being developed into a feature film.
