Actor Bio

Brooklyn born Trinidadian actress Nia Jervier is a graduate of the famed La Guardia Performing Arts High School, and The New School’s Dramatic Arts BFA program (in conjunction with the American Musical & Dramatic Academy). Jervier’s production credits include starring roles in Once on This Island, The Taming of The Shrew and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the off-Broadway circuit.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Jervier made television appearances in Justin Simien’s Twenties and the pilot presentation for Anthony Hemingway-directed comedy series Bros, currently in development.

Her most recent credits include the award-winning Sundance comedy Dear White People (2014), and she appeared at the 68th annual Cannes International Film Festival to promote the independent short film Ladylike (2015). Ladylike is the inaugural production of writer/director duo Tiffany Johnson and Nick Williams of A Tiff & Nick Scoop;  produced by Lena Waithe -producer of Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions acquired film Dear White People.
