Biography

Nika von Altenstadt was born in Germany. She is an actress and writer, known for Barfuss (2005), Andi Ommsen ist der letzte Lude (2003) and Zweiohrküken (2009).

As an actress, Stamp is internationally known for her portrayal of Melanippe “Mel” Callis in the Canadian Screen After training to be an actor in Cologne, von Altenstadt attended the mime school École Internationale de Minodrame by Marcel Marceau in Paris. She then played theater for years in Cologne, Munich, Münster and Bonn and was involved in various radio productions.

Her film career began in 1992 with a leading role in the low-budget film Krautboys – the only true Al Gringo story by filmmaker Hansjörg Thurn. From 1994 to 1998 she played “Sonia Besirsky” in the ARD series Lindenstrasse. Other appearances in television series such as Die Kommissarin, Schimanski and Alles Atze followed. As a screenwriter, she worked, among other things, for the movie Barfuss, directed by Til Schweiger. In March 2020 she made another guest appearance in Lindenstrasse.
