Biography

Sammy Mowrey is an actor and comedian known for Pick Up (2019) and Open Mic (2014).

Sammy Mowrey started comedy in the desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have since moved to Chicago and then LA and amused audiences with their tales of being a queer feminist who is better at organizing their denim vests than their Tinder dates. Sammy has opened for Hari Kondobolu, Dave Ross, and Chris Thayer. 

Before quarantine, they were an up and coming comedian in Los Angeles and ran a monthly show Femmes The Rules. They also have performed at  Albuquerque Funny Fiesta, Dinah Shore, and Midwest Queer Comedy Festival.  In 2021 they launched Therapy for Men, a podcast based on their viral TikTok series with the same name.
