A 16-year-old member of the United Earth Defense Force, who visits the starship upon the Discovery’s arrival at Earth as part of an inspection team.
They're a human who has combined with a Trill (alien) to be one being, and thus is the missing Admiral Discovery was looking for, so they elect to stay with Discovery.
Note: The 'Alien' tag on Adira Tal is for Tal, the alien portion of the symbiote. Adira themself is human, but 'Adira Tal' is a separate entity from either Adira or Tal individually.
