The second chair of the orchestra where the murder victim Eleanor Ortega worked. She sat near her, and hoped to take her place. It is later discovered Constance was in love with her.
The murder weapon was found in her car. It is later revealed that the killer placed it there so that, with the first chair dead and the second chair incarcerated, the third chair (for whom the murderer had developed an insane obsession) took her place, especially since she was planning to leave the orchestra.
