Judy Hale

Judy is a woman Jen Harding meets at a grief support group where the two quickly become friends. Unbeknownst to Jen, Judy is the person who hit — and killed — her husband. She is a health care assistant and, unknown to those around her, has suffered five miscarriages.

At the end of the series, Judy is dying of cancer and plans to take a “permanent vacation” in Mexico. Her immediate life or death is intentionally left up for interpretation, however it is clear she will, eventually, die from the cancer.
