Having built a distinguished career in surgery, she has since transitioned into a significant bureaucratic role within the healthcare system. With the upcoming hospital restructure, Patricia was set to become the new CEO of Shortland Street Hospital in 2001.
During her tenure, Patricia faced significant personal and professional challenges. She struggled with the fallout from her son Jack’s illness and eventual suicide, which deeply affected her. Additionally, a power struggle ensued when Victor maneuvered to replace her as CEO, a move she initially fought alongside Chris and Rachel.
