A serial killer, and judge (as Douglas Mason), Paul was born Paula (or Pauline). While born seemingly female, Paul has an endocrinic ambiguity that makes it less clear. Paul does not appear to identify as intersex, though that may be a matter of the era in which the show was filmed.
