More than two years ago, Sam was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now in remission. She has been acting more impulsively than usual. A sense of urgency lives in her, she dreams of starting a family with Steph. She does not feel the need to be part of a lesbian community, but is indirectly through her companion, more militant than her.
