Lopez

Lopez

Overview

Comic George Lopez stars as a fictionalized version of himself in this semi-autobiographical sitcom. Lopez portrays America’s most successful Hispanic-American comedian who struggles between his two worlds — he feels he’s too rich to go back to his Latino, working-class roots, but feels too ethnic to fit into the world of affluent celebrities. He faces a number of problems and crises — many of which are a result of his own doing. It’s all tied in to Lopez’s real-life insecurities and inability to connect, which the comedian says “are all part of my charm.”
