AKA 30 Shekels Per Hour, the show is about three women from three remote corners of society who work in the same building as cleaning ladies, through a large manpower agency. When they’re fired, they decide to take their fate into their own hands, and offer their services as a team at a laughably cheap price to the media company whose offices they clean.
The three heroines come from three very different and very distant sectors of Israeli society, one is a downtrodden 40 year old from a remote town, one a new immigrant from the Ukraine who had left her daughter behind, and the third an Arab young women, a collaborator who ran away from her family.
The series won the Israeli Academy Awards for Best Drama Series and Best Directing, 2012.
