
Overview
Muscle is an American television sitcom which aired on The WB from January 11, 1995 until May 24, 1995. It was set inside the fictional Survival Gym in New York City, and was a parody of prime time soap operas of the 1990s.
Survival Gym chain is in crisis when the founder dies and son Kent is arrested but he suspects stepmother Jayne. In soap opera fashion the gym’s trainers run the gamut from gigolo Gianni to struggling actress Cleo.
Notable Queer-Centric Episodes
- “Episode Five” – Television news anchor Bronwyn Jones comes out during a newscast to thwart an outing attempt. Her station then began using her lesbianism as a promotional gimmick.
