Nord bei Nordwest

Nord bei Nordwest

Overview

Former Hamburg police officer Hauke Jacobs settles down on the Baltic Sea in the town of Schwanitz to work there as a veterinarian. He acquires an old habitable ship that becomes his domicile. Since the veterinarian has taken his own life in the place, he takes over his practice without further ado and hires the previous medical assistant Jule Christiansen. However, he cannot let go of his old profession and supports the local police officer Lona Vogt in her work, usually after the dead are found.

Over time, it becomes clear that Hauke Jacobs did not voluntarily visit rural loneliness. As an undercover investigator, he had testified in a trial against criminals, which is why he is now in the small place where everyone knows everyone and strangers immediately notice. After Jacobs’ “exile” is over, he decides to stay in Schwanitz and not return to the big city.
