Overview

Dave Johnson, the “nicest guy in the Midwest,” who moves his white family into a predominantly African American neighborhood in Los Angeles, where not everyone appreciates his extreme neighborliness. That includes their new next-door neighbor Calvin Butler.

Season 4, Episode 8 “Welcome to the Family Business” – After Tina’s new hustle takes off, the mistakes at the garage keep increasing. Luckily the lesbian couple are delighted to find their car wrapped like a rainbow on wheels.
Season 5, Episode 1 “Welcome Back to the Neighborhood” — Sherri mistakes Calvin for a landscaper. At the impromptu party (thrown when Dave causes a power outage for the neighborhood), she introduces herself and her partner, apologizes, and asks for landscaping advice.
