A new fresh-faced actress based in New York City, she is a graduate of the two year conservatory at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Ava was born and raised in San Francisco, CA and has always had a flair for the dramatic, or so say her parents. She was bitten by the acting bug in third grade when she was tapped to play Munchkin #1 in her elementary school production of the Wizard of Oz. Despite having only two lines she was determined to be the very best munchkin she could be. After a successful run, she spent the next few years chasing every artistic opportunity she could find including summer programs with SFArtsEdand The African American Shakespeare Company. When it came time for high school she auditioned for and got into the illustrious Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts where she spent four years taking classes that ran the gamut from Asian Theatre to Playwriting and Directing. In addition to acting at school she was a core member of GRRRL Brigade at Dance Mission Theater, a dance theatre company that incorporated politics and girl power into every performance using a combination of modern dance, Japanese Taiko drumming, and spoken word.
Now that she has graduated Ava looks forward to once again chasing every artistic opportunity that comes her way and having more time to hit the movie theater and be inspired.
