Biography

Ilea Matthews is a Stand Up Comic with which to be reckoned. Not only has she performed at famous clubs like the Laugh Factory, Flappers and The Comedy Store, she is the star of the Internationally Popular Web-Series Kiss Her I’m Famous. The second season of the series was such a hit, it landed Ms. Matthews on the cover of Curve Magazine. Her celebrity doesn’t stop there. Ms. Matthews appeared in the film The Violent Kind, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010, where Image Entertainment bought the distribution rights.

Ms. Matthews has been pursuing acting since high school. After beginning her study at San Francisco State University and receiving her Bachelors Degree in Theater at California State University Sacramento, she supported her career as a Professional Photographer who ran her own business. After graduation, she shifted her focus to Film and Television. She has starred in several television series including The Newer Girl and EXIT Stage Left. Her numerous films include Ashley, Girl Club, and Julie and Jack. Short film titles include Service Please (now in post-production), Pandora, & 8 Guns Over a Dead Girl. Let’s not forget Prime Time Television, where she Guest Starred on Grey’s Anatomy, I (Almost) Got Away with It, and A Cure for Dead.
