Biography

An American actress, activist and former model. Her feature-film debut was in Rollover; she subsequently rose to prominence in the Richard Donner film The Goonies. She has also appeared in The Mosquito Coast, Shy People, Running on Empty, Parenthood, Samantha, Small Town Murder Songs, Frozen II and Mass.

Plimpton is an abortion rights activist, and is public about having had abortions in the past. She also advocates for LGBTQ rights, saying that trans rights and women’s health (including abortions) are linked.
