“No meat, no men? I’m your woman!” Maggie being gay was just what it was on ER, and it was nice. Sadly, she vanished without a trace on the show, and coined the phrase ‘Doyled’, for characters who had significant plot lines (we met her family!) and yet one day disappeared. Much later, when Kerry came out, it was implied she had been run out by Rocket Romano for refusing his advances (as Maggie said “Anything goes with the gay chick.”). It makes that LGBT center so much sweeter.
