Overview
Louison finds out her son, Guilhem, is autistic. And so is she. During his first day of la sixième, the boy hurts a classmate and the school sends a social worker to investigate the household.
Aspergirl tries and doesn’t do half bad but it feels like the show tried to give Louison every ASD traits at the same time. It’s those little faux pas that at times doesn’t save the show from clichés. Guilhem hurting someone in his first day of school, how quick it took to get a diagnosis (ha!), etc. But, all in all, the show remains decent representation here and then (better for autism than it is at representing 10 year old girls somehow), and some situations I was able to relate to. On the queer front, while Ariane and Louison did not share enough screen time to justfy the sudden ‘I think I like her’, their interactions still rang true throughout.
Warning, the opening could activate photosensibility, with a changing title with a lot of image per second.
