Overview
Dare Me is based off the Megan Abbott book of the same name. It focuses on two high school cheerleaders and best friends, Addy and Beth, who have a tumultuous relationship. A new cheerleading coach comes to town, Colette, and suddenly Beth has to compete for Addy’s attention.
Although this is a show about high school cheerleaders, it is a dark take on the kind of drama, jealousy, and tension that can occur between teenage girls, especially when lines are crossed between friendship, love, and lust.
