Biography

Caroline da Cunha Duarte, better known as Carol Duarte, is a Brazilian actress. She is the winner of several awards , including an APCA Award , an Extra Award and a Platino Award , as well as being nominated for a Grande Otelo and a Guarani Award.

Carol made her television debut in A Força do Querer in 2017 where she played Ivan Garcia, who discovers that he is transsexual throughout the plot. Her performance was acclaimed by critics and the public, making the actress popular nationally. For her performance, she received a nomination for the APCA Award for best television actress and won several awards for best new actress.

In 2017 she came out after playing the transgender character, Ivan Garcia. “It would be completely inconsistent with me and my girlfriend to hide anything. And it’s not up to me as an artist to be an actress who couldn’t handle my own complexity.”

She lives with editor Aline Klein, with whom she has had a romantic relationship since 2014.
