Biography

Joanna Hole (Jo Hole to her friends and colleagues) has worked as an actress in theatre and television for over 35 years and in the last 10 has also been working in feature films in a wide range of character roles.

Early tv success as regular ‘Sally Markham’ in ‘Tenko’ and ‘Madge (tour guide) in Miss Marple – Nemesis (with Joan Hickson) led to leads in No 1 touring theatre, repertory at Manchester, Bristol etc and eventually work at the Donmar Warehouse, RSC and National Theatre (in A Streetcar Named Desire with Glenn Close) Between theatre engagements Jo co-ran theatre company Co-producers, directed at Liverpool Playhouse, Young Vic Studio and Ustinov Studio Bath and played through roles and guested in many UK television productions.

Jo has continued to work in television and movies and in 2012 established Jo Hole Associates – a creative talent agency based at Ealing Studios in London.
