A multiple award-winning actress for her critically acclaimed work in both film and television. Sara’s latest award was for portraying Kate Sheppard, the suffragette who gained New Zealand women the right to vote. The first nation in the world to do so.
In March 25, 2021, Sara came out as bisexual in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly. “An issue I’m more proud of now is my bisexuality. I’m 48 now and it’s been with me since I was 20. [Her husband] Craig is so embracing of that. I am so fortunate to find someone who accepts all of me.”
