Overview

Mix, a white, nonbinary transgender, queer actor and Harriet, a Black, cisgender, heterosexual writer, navigate New York City, their work in the activist community, and a friendship that challenges their individual upbringing and the communities with which they identify.

Mix and Harriet hold identities that are underrepresented in media. Beyond their individual identities, their friendship alone is is genre-bending and groundbreaking. “Bad Ally” doesn’t just check many different identity boxes; it breaks them altogether.
