The Oblongs

Overview

One of the WB’s odder choices. It was about the Oblongs, who were all … deformed. All the characters lived in a poor part of town, in the valley, and due to pollution and radiation, were deformed or disabled.

The pollution is the direct result of the lavish lifestyle of the rich community known as “The Hills”, whose residents exploit and harm the valley residents with absolutely no regard for their safety or well-being.

It’s possible this was meant as a social commentary. It only lasted 13 episodes, 5 of which didn’t air, so who knows.
