Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to a Chinese mother, an accountant, and a father of Irish descent, a contractor.. She performed in her first play at the age of seven, and continued to appear on stage in numerous Pennsylvania community and regional productions.

She’s best known for her role as Angela Montenego on Bones.
