Cake & Candles

Cake & Candles chronicles the lives of three friends as they celebrate various birthdays throughout their lives. Each episode focuses on one character and one celebration, showing snippets of the life young adults lead in London.

Created by Julia Almeida and Nicky Chue, the series explores themes not always explored in the media such as sexuality, gender, and ethnicity, but through more common storylines of sisterhood, family, and young adult life in London.

From a modest fundraising to a first episode that meets and exceeds their projections, this group is on their way to being something great.
