Overview

Set amidst the iconic landscapes of modern Edinburgh, Case Histories brings to life the jigsaw puzzles of Kate Atkinsons books. A former soldier and policeman, Jackson Brodies tough-guy exterior belies a compulsion for resolution and the inability to ignore the suffering of others traits which find him constantly surrounded by the bereaved, the lost and the dysfunctional.

Notable Queer-Centric Episodes

Season One, Episodes One & Two “Case Histories” – Sisters Amelia and Julia Land ask Brodie to look into the disappearance of their little sister, 30 years ago. Over the course of the case, Amelia is revealed to be a lesbian who made up a boyfriend to keep her sister happy.
