Overview

A BBC drama about a department store, it’s pretty much a poor man’s Mr. Selfridge. The plot surrounds country girl Denise who comes to the city to help her uncle in his dress shop. Sadly, her uncle is struggling due to the opening of The Paradise, a cradle-to-grave department store across the street. Denise goes to work there in ladies wear and shenanigans ensue.
