The Queerest Things I Watched Last Week – December 9, 2019

Queerest Things - Dex and Liz

On this chapter of The Queerest Things I Watched Last Week, I stayed up way too late watching all of the Sunday night shows last night, so I only did a recap of Dex and Liz on Stumptown.

Oh my goodness, why did all of the best queer TV of the week all have to be on Sunday night? There’s no way I can get all of those recaps written this morning. I will do full recaps next week, but here’s my quick summary:

  • Supergirl Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 1 – Fun but not queer enough.
  • The L Word Generation Q Ep. 1 – So much better than the original.
  • Mr Robot ep 410 – ❤️😨😮😢

Stumptown – Season 1 Episode 8 “The Other Woman” [Live]

Grey wanted Dex to get to know his new girlfriend Liz better, so when Dex learns she’s a “Craps Virgin,” she takes her to the casino. Dex’s ulterior motive is Liz’s beginner’s luck, but becoming friends with the girlfriend is important to Grey, so it’ll be a win-win.

Beginner’s luck pays off and soon Dex and Liz are rolling in shots and winnings. Dex wakes up the next morning to discover something unexpected.

Stumptown - Dex and Liz in bed

Oops! I don’t think that’s what Grey meant by getting to know Liz better.

This is very on-brand with Dex’s entertainingly disastrous character. I wonder how she’s going to get out of this one.

This week: All the rest of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover!
