On this chapter of The Queerest Things I Watched Last Week, we were given the gift of Anna Silk on Wynonna Earp, and Debbie gets closer to her new lesbian welder friend on Shameless.
- Wynonna Earp – Season 3 Episode 10 “The Other Woman” [Live]
-
On this episode Waverly and Nicole were only in a scene together for a minute, but we did get a treat — Anna Silk making a guest appearance!
At this moment I realized just how much I missed Anna Silk being on my TV. I love this, but who is she? Charlie and I have the same question.
Meanwhile Doc and Nicole are trying to get a book that may help them defeat Bulshar from Maeve, a teen spirit stuck in the fireplace where she used to live. While Nicole talks to Maeve because, “she’s good with teens,” Maeve leaps out of the fire and possesses Nicole.
Maeve tries to convince Doc to vampire kill Nicole and leave her the corpse to possess permanently, but fortunately Doc is able to resist her. Kat acting as possessed Nicole is hilarious.
Doc and Jeremy get the book. Maeve leaves Nicole’s body, but then her spirit leaps back into the fireplace and blows everything up.
Charlie rolls up in a fire engine to rescue Doc, Nicole and Jeremy from the burning house. He first pulls Doc out, and just as he gets him to safety, Doc turns around and kills him, vampire-style. Nicole runs out and sees what he’s done, and she is furious. She says if she ever sees Doc again she will kill him.
Over on the other story line, Wynonna and Waverly are trying to pass Kevin’s test of taking Bulshar’s arm from a radioactive Revenant. Waverly winds up using the ring to defeat the Revenant, and when Kevin comes back, she says the arm isn’t the weapon to defeat Bulshar; it’s Waverly and the ring.
Kevin says when Waverly takes her rightful place on her father’s throne; the garden gets sealed, and she saves the world. Wynonna then presses Kevin to tell her what then happens to Waverly.
That is not acceptable.
- Shameless – Season 9 Episode 3 “Weirdo Gallagher Vortex”
-
Debbie is really hitting it off with her new lesbian welder friend, Alex.
Like, really hitting it off.
It looks like Alex may no longer has a straight friend to hang out with.
Later Debbie talks to her brother Ian, aka “Gay Jesus/Gay Che” about it.
Although he semi-apologizes later, Ian is a dismissive dick about the whole thing. As “Gay Jesus” he should be more supportive of his sister and her experience. To be honest, I have grown tired of the whole Church of Gay Jesus story line. It’s just gotten weird and boring.
Debbie and Alex though, that is very interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.
This week it’s the big Wynonna Earp season three finale! I feel confident Waverly is not going to turn to die, but how will the big Bulshar battle go down? We shall see.
