Queer Beats – November 6, 2020

Queer Beats with Nikki Header

Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, do you remember Halloween? It seems like that was weeks ago but our favorite casts really showed up. To be honest, I considered skipping this week’s post because of the mess that is the American election. But, I figured we need a distraction now more than ever! So here’s some queer TV news for ya!

Almost Family

Let’s start with my personal favorite news of the week: Megalyn Echikunwoke and Dianna Agron‘s Halloween celebration.

Batwoman

Meanwhile, the Batwoman cast continues to love each other. They celebrated Halloween together (along with many other Vancouver-based CW cast members):

Also Javicia continues to give us Batsuit content!

I’m sorry if you’re sick of the Batwoman content but I am openly obsessed with the possibility of this couple:

Gentleman Jack

Gentleman Jack is officially filming again!!!

Malhação

This is possibly a tiny spoiler but this gif is a reminder that the Malhação spin-off, As Five, is being released in just over a week and, yes, Limantha will be there.

Motherland: Fort Salem

AbnormallyAdam’s interview with Amalia Holm is out!

Riverdale

The Riverdale girls went as the PowerPuff Girls for Halloween:

Supergirl

Nicole Maines shook us all by going as Nura Nal for Halloween:

And she even blessed us with a TikTok!

And, like I mentioned above, a lot of the Vancouver-based CW casts were at the same Halloween party. Scroll for a picture of Azie Tesfai, Vanessa Morgan, and Candice Patton:

And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.

About NikkiT

Nikki has always known two contradictory things to be true: queer TV can save lives and queer female cop/agent characters will be the death of all of us (looking at you Officer Haught, Director Danvers, Detective Sawyer, and Sameen Shaw). Her first dive into fan content was when she ran a secret Xanga blog dedicated to pictures of Lorelai Gilmore in the 7th grade. She has never looked back.
tv-hd Favorite Shows: Orphan Black, One Day at a Time, Vida, Batwoman, Pose
