Queer Beats – January 29, 2020

Queer Beats with Nikki Header

Welcome back to Queer Beats, your weekly one-stop shop for queer television news! This week, our favorite actors from Batwoman, Motherland: Fort Salem, and Euphoria share some behind-the-scenes moments.

I can’t tell if the show is actually planning on developing this couple but, as y’all know, I ship it HARD. And Meagan‘s used of “Ms. Wilder” here? Phew!

The Bold Type

Freeform announced that the fifth season of The Bold Type will also be its last. I am sad because this is one of my comfort shows but I also think five seasons is a good place to end.

Also, Aisha Dee shared this edit along with the news of a new season…

Just a reminder that the second “special episode” for Euphoria is out and it is VERY good. It was co-written by Hunter Schafer and she shared more behind-the-scenes photos this week:

Us Luimelia fans just continue to thrive! We continue to get great #Luimelia episodes, the show was nominated for a GLAAD award this week (along with fellow Spanish show, Veneno), Paula and Carol keep doing IG lives, and the Luimelia character accounts are back up and running!

Motherland: Fort Salem

I am trying to stay sane while we continue to wait on news of a premiere date for season two and I can’t decide if Amalia‘s cute photo set is helping or hurting…

In happy news: Nicole Pacent had her baby! Click through for extra cute photos!

Shrill’s next season will sadly be its last.

The Wilds

Something I love about The Wilds is that Mia Healey ships Shelby and Toni as much as we do. She shared this cute fan edit on all her social media accounts. As someone who is new to the fandom, I had not seen the interview where Erana talks about their chemistry but my eyes have been OPENED!

And that’s it for Queer Beats this week! Always thorough, always professional, never random.

About NikkiT

Nikki is an archivist by day, queer TV addict by night. Her first dive into fan content was when she ran a secret Xanga blog dedicated to pictures of Lorelai Gilmore in the 7th grade. She has never looked back.
