Overview

A spin-off of The Fosters. After graduating from college and moving to a community-style living space in Los Angeles, sisters Callie and Mariana navigate the beginning of their careers and the complicated relationships that come with residing in a new city.

Callie and Mariana’s group house, called “The Coterie,” introduces a new and diverse group of characters including multiple queer characters.

Queer Plotline Timeline

Alice is a lesbian and while she’s initially closeted to her family, it’s no secret to the Coterie. Her girlfriends and various exes come around regularly.

Gael is bisexual and his sister Jazz is trans.

In season three Malika comes out as bisexual and starts a relationship with her former co-worker Angelica.

Mariana has a threesome at one point, but never again sleeps with women. We consider it to be her experimentation phase.
