October ’16 Roundup

The weather turns cold and the gays come out of hiding for TV.

  • New Characters — 79
  • New Shows — 34

Sadly as expected, we surpassed the record for most dead WLW in a calendar year. 32.

On the other hand, Maggie Sawyer has arrived on Supergirl (yay!) and there are two mature ladies on Holby City who have entered the fray as well.

New Features

Better (slightly) search! You’ll notice you can now pick shows or characters for your searches, that should help folks narrow down on exactly what they’re looking for. It prioritizes titles first, so if you’re looking for any characters played by Ming Na, you’ll want to search for “Ming Na” in quotes. If you’re on character or show pages, the search will default to them.

Modernized Logo

The logo has gone from a black toaster, to a spiral rainbow toaster, to a toaster with slices and flat colored rainbow, to a toaster with slices and much more vibrant colors. It’s a little subtle, but it makes the logo look less 1990s.

About Mika A. Epstein

Mika has been deep in fandom since she could say 'Trekkie.' With decades experience in running fansites, developing software, and organizing communities, she's taken on the challenge of delving into the recesses of television for queers long forgotten. Making this site with Tracy is nothing short of serendipity. Mika lives with her wife in Southern California. Of course she has a hybrid, but she'd rather ride her bicycle.
